- Private and Anonymous
- SILENTLY walk around the room and look at the pictures
- Say whatever you want to about this person anonymously by writing a message or drawing a pictures
- This can be positive or negative
- In groups, examine the messages people left on your person
- Answer the following questions on a piece of paper as a group:
- How did you feel when given the chance to get things off your chest and write anonymous messages?
- How do you think the person would feel reading your messages, especially the negative ones?
- What are the advantages of being anonymous?
- What are the disadvantages of being anonymous?
- Do you feel a greater sense of freedom to voice your opinions when you are anonymous? Explain.
- Do you think being anonymous online gives you more confidence to be the person that you want to be? Explain.
- Do you think people act more irresponsibly online when their identity is hidden? Explain.
- Do you think when bullying happens online it is harder to effectively deal with the case if people are anonymous? Explain.
- Pick a Side Debate
- Statements will be read aloud
- Choose whether you agree or disagree and go to that side of the room
- Each side can defend their answer
- If you want to switch sides based on what people say you may
